Jaclyn "Jax" Scott is a distinguished leader within the cybersecurity sector, bringing together nearly 16 years of in-depth experience both from the military and civilian sectors spanning IT and cybersecurity. A key highlight of her career includes critical strategic support to global cyber operations, notably with NATO, and her influential role in Operation Atlantic Resolve. This initiative involved reinforcing host nations cyber borders, thereby contributing substantially to national security operations.
Jax has spent the majority of her career in the government sector, serving as an Army Cyber and Electronic Warfare Special Operations Warrant Officer, including supporting the Special Operations Command, Special Operations Europe, the Department of State, and numerous Department of Defense entities. Her deep understanding of various NIST frameworks, Presidential Executive Orders, and Congressional cyber policies, coupled with her strategic cyber expertise, has allowed her to empower federal organizations to secure their digital environments and increase overall national security.
Jax has proficiency across a comprehensive array of cybersecurity areas. These include cyber risk assessments, Cyber Risk Management, AI vulnerability management, penetration testing services, cyber threat intelligence, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, NIST/FISMA controls assessments, and the orchestration of social engineering campaigns.
Outside her operational roles, Jax runs a rapidly growing YouTube channel called Outpost Gray. She is on a mission to make cybersecurity education available to everyone. She is a revered public speaker on cybersecurity operations, and she also hosts an award-winning cybersecurity podcast called 2 Cyber Chicks, which was recognized with the European Podcast Award in 2022. She is a cybersecurity-published author and received her Master's degree in Cybersecurity Risk Management from Georgetown University.
